Cheers from Nashville: Our First Team Meet-up

Cheers from Nashville: Our First Team Meet-up

We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now. - Martin Luther King, Jr.

And we are so grateful to be on that boat… TOGETHER. Our team is small, but we are mighty. Although some of us have known each other for years, while others FEEL like we've known each other for years, all of our time together has been spent virtually. Until Nashville, in January.

It was a packed few days with connecting, brainstorming, planning and of course a lot of fun. Once again we were reminded of the power of getting together in person. As much as the world tried the virtual approach, nothing beats being together, in person, face to face. For those trying to figure out if virtual meetings are for you, don't think twice. You can read up more on the advantages of having "in person" meetings here.

Take our word for it, it's worth the expense and the time.

One of the bigger highlights of this trip was getting to meet our owner, Steve the Roofer, in person. Besides our CEO, Michael none of the team has met with Steve in person. It was incredible to be able to get to know him on a personal level and spend uninterrupted time together. The value that Steve adds with his perspective and questions is hard to put into words, but we always walk away feeling inspired and, just overall better.

This was also the first time we were able to get our hands on our incredible fabrics that Michael has been carefully picking. We were already excited about what's coming, but being there, together, experiencing this, it became even more clear that this is an amazing foundation of our current and future collections. These fabrics, now transformed into pieces that will become Staples in your wardrobe embody the classic designs with intentional decoration. Each and every piece embodies our commitment to quality, comfort, style and purpose.

For those wondering, drinks of choice were: sparkling wine and Old Fashioned cocktails. One of our team favorite was the Waffle Cone Smoked Old Fashioned at Hand Cut Steakhouse (where most of our meetings took place). You can find the ingredients here.

As we reminisce about our time together in Nashville, we are, again, filled with a sense of energy and purpose. The bonds that were strengthened during those few days will continue to inspire us as we work toward our shared goals.
